Teachers and StudyDog can work together to help low-income students
While all children are potentially at-risk readers, studies have shown that children from low-income families face the largest risk. It is well understood that the best way to break the grasp of poverty is to succeed in learning and the best way to do that is to acquire basic reading skills early in life. We, at StudyDog, believe that all low-income children can learn to read given the right environment, encouragement and time and, hence, it is a StudyDog company priority. We will give any low-income family our StudyDog reading lessons.

StudyDog has invested more than $5 million in developing a complete, evidence-based and very effective reading curriculum for students in pre-K thru the 2nd grade. We will give these programs to low-income families free of charge for use in their homes. But, we don’t know which children are low-income and in need of reading help. You, as a teacher, do. By joining the Reading Angel program, we can work together.

"I use Study Dog in my classroom and have seen dramatic results with it! I assess my children on a monthly basis. With the results I identified students who were in need of intensive intervention and started them on Study Dog. I retested the children yesterday and I was amazed at how their scores have improved since last month!

I have been working with my Title I teacher and she is also sold on the program! We feel it is an excellent intervention strategy to use at our school!

Thanks for this GREAT tool!!!

Christie Paxton, 1st grade teacher, Colonel William Casey Elementary

I am so excited to finally find something that our students can use independently and get something out of!”

“StudyDog is a great product!

With StudyDog real teaching and learning occurs. Communication from the characters is in a language that kids understand and react to in a very positive way. StudyDog is a valuable tool for me. My students can become independent learners thanks to StudyDog.”
